Anderson Kam sees our culture as one that is concerned with economic prosperity in spite of the consequences. “Through media's relentless messaging, we are encouraged to consume as a way of defining ourselves, while the environment becomes filled with waste.” The "datelines" series represents the psychological tension and potential dangers of contemporary life amidst a backdrop of material consumption.
